The Hayle Estuary is an estuary in west Cornwall. The estuary of the River Hayle consists of a main channel, with several other nearby tidal areas, including Lelant Saltings, Copperhouse Creek and Carnsew Pool(also known as Carnsew Basin). It is included in the Hayle Estuary and Carrack Gladden Site of Special Scientific Interest. The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds manage a nature reserve at the site.

Lelant Saltings is an important habitat for birds and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds runs a nature reserve there. Areas around the estuary are designated as sites of special scientific interest (see also Hayle SSSI).

Harvey's Foundry Trust is a charitable organisation based in Hayle.  Its objective is to the make the nationally important Harvey's Foundry site into a vibrant multi-use centre.   The site will contain a heritage and education centre, artisan's studios and craft workshops, office space for start up businesses with a research centre based on an industrial archive that comprehensively contains records charting the importance that Hayle and the Harvey and Copperhouse foundries played from the late 18th Century onwards in Britain's Industrial Heritage.
